Before You Book

What Goes Wrong With an Undocumented Group Tour Booking

Most complaints about tour van hire in Nairobi trace back to one of three undisclosed gaps -- all preventable with a written itinerary confirmation and a clear policy stated upfront.

At the itinerary stage

No confirmed stop-by-stop schedule

A multi-stop tour booked without a confirmed schedule routinely runs into driver and timing disputes mid-trip. Barguts confirms your stops and rough timing with the driver before departure.

On the fuel gauge

An undisclosed fuel or mileage policy

A fuel or mileage policy that is not confirmed in writing before departure routinely turns into a disputed deduction from the deposit at return.

At the roadside

No real breakdown or replacement plan

An informal hire with no stated replacement guarantee leaves a full tour group stranded on your own if the van develops a fault mid-trip.

The Barguts Difference

Why Choose Barguts Tours for Tour Van Hire in Nairobi?

Itinerary and Stop Confirmation at Booking

Your stops and rough schedule are confirmed with the driver before departure, so a multi-stop tour runs against a shared plan rather than being negotiated on the road.

Comprehensive Insurance Confirmed at Booking

Comprehensive cover for full group occupancy is confirmed before deposit is collected -- not assumed from a windscreen disc. The insurance certificate is in the vehicle for the full hire period.

Written Fuel and Mileage Policy

Fuel level and mileage terms are stated in writing before departure -- no verbal-only promises that turn into a disputed deposit deduction at return.

24/7 Replacement Within the Nairobi Radius

A mechanical fault triggers replacement vehicle deployment within 2-4 hours within the 70km Nairobi service radius, issued in writing as a standing guarantee on every hire.

This vehicle also works well for weddings and special occasions — see our Wedding Car Hire options.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I rented a fielder hybrid, the car is well maintained no issues, good fuel consumption and the response was prompt, kudos on that but what you need to introduce or improve on is delivery to client's location, I had to come from Kajiado to pick the car in Nairobi

Owner's reply
Hi Emmanuel, thanks for the great feedback and for pointing that out. Glad the Fielder Hybrid served you well on fuel and condition, and that our response time hit the mark. Your point on delivery is well taken. We're working on making pickup more convenient for clients outside Nairobi. Appreciate you taking the time to share this, and we hope to have you back again soon.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions — Tour Van Hire Nairobi

How much does the HiAce Tour Van cost in Nairobi?

From KES 15,000/day including a PSV-licensed driver, comprehensive insurance for full group occupancy, and BDFP inspection. Multi-day tour rates available on request -- call 0707 116 220 for a written quote.

What is the difference between the Tour Van and the standard HiAce minivan?

The Tour Van is a tour-spec configuration built for 8-14 passengers with extra luggage and equipment space -- a different setup from the standard 14-seat shuttle HiAce used for airport transfers and corporate shuttle runs.

Is a driver included, or is self-drive available?

The Tour Van is provided with a PSV-licensed driver as standard -- suited to organised, multi-stop tours where a driver familiar with the route and schedule adds real value. Self-drive is not offered on this configuration.

Can the seating be configured for fewer than 14 passengers?

Yes. The Tour Van is configured to your group size between 8 and 14 passengers, with the freed cabin space used for extra luggage or equipment -- confirm your group size and luggage needs at booking.

What is the Tour Van best suited for?

Organised tours, multi-stop day trips, corporate offsites, church and school group outings, and any itinerary that needs a confirmed schedule and a driver who knows the route -- rather than a straightforward point-to-point transfer.

How far in advance should I book the Tour Van?

Same-day availability is possible for shorter notice, but multi-stop tours and group bookings of 10 or more benefit from at least 48 hours notice to confirm the itinerary and guarantee vehicle availability.

Configured to your group, 8-14 passengers. Itinerary confirmed before departure. PSV-licensed driver included.
